I was introduced to Tulsi by a wonderful friend and among our many early conversations; he told me the transcendental story of the Tulsi tree.

The sacred Tulsi tree is from India. In the ancient wisdom texts from that region of the world, Tulsi is glorified as the one who helps bring people closer to the Devine. Ancient tradition and the mystics who practiced Tulsi’s teachings enthusiastically encouraged people from far and wide to wear Tulsi beads -- for, they explain, being close to the Tulsi tree bestows not just physical and spiritual healing properties, but high transcendental insights.

Tulsi wood is more powerful than any gem for protecting one from negative influences. Whenever Tulsi is present, Tulsi keeps the surroundings pure, peaceful and harmonious. Tulsi awakens the love that is naturally within our hearts.

While working as an Interior Designer I decided to use my creative talents to design an elegant line of handcrafted jewelry that enhances the attractiveness of the wearer and radiates Tulsi’s protective energies.

Oh! I almost forgot to tell you the reason that I have developed such an extensive array of styles and color patterns. Many people find that they never want to be without Tulsi jewelry. We use .925 sterling silver beads, chains and findings. All our hammered pieces are .925 sterling silver.

Our Strings
Sacred Tulsi is an animal friendly company. We do not use animal products, such as leather. We use a waxed cotton cord that has the same aesthetic as leather, yet is an animal free material.

Our Gemstones
The size and color of our gemstone beads may vary. Because gemstones (most of them) are created by nature, color will not necessarily be the same on the piece. The beads might be slightly larger or smaller. Some beads have "descriptive names" and these beads are meant to look like, rather than identify what they are. These are genuine, natural gemstones that happen to resemble more expensive stones.

Because of these differences and the availability of gemstones and sterling silver beads, the designs may vary. We guarantee that the jewelry will be as close to the design pictured as possible or you may return for a full refund.

Our Tulsi Beads
We travel to an ancient holy town in Vrindavana, India. Vrinda is another name for Tulsi and Vana is the Sanskrit word for forest. Thus Vrindavana, named over 5000 years ago, means "The Forest of Tulsi." Even though Tulsi grows throughout India, our Tulsi beads are hand-selected and hand-carved by Tulsi Wallas (carvers) in this ancient town. All of our collections use this sacred bead and anyone who wears Tulsi beads is offered Tulsi’s protective energies.

Sacred Tulsi jewelry will be sent to you in its own beautiful black velvet pouch, lined with a very special tarnish resistance fabric. You can keep your Sacred Tulsi jewelry stored in this luxurious pouch when you are not wearing your jewelry and it will stay looking beautiful.
